Marshfield Select Board splits 2-1 on town administrator search process. The board voted to bring former interim Town Administrator Peter Morin back as co-interim administrator alongside Charles Sumner, at $100 an hour, through February 19, while letting Sumner and Morin hand-pick a five-member citizen screening committee for the town's next permanent hire — a move resident Joe Pasevich argued strips the community of control. The board also approved transferring Salty Days Marshfield's liquor license to Sean M.

McDaniel, with a 90-day renovation window, and voted to ask the Plymouth County Retirement Board about stretching out the town's roughly $10 million-a-year pension assessment, about 70 percent funded since 1988. Applications for the search panel are due by 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 27.
