Marshfield Select Board approves Mia Ragazza restaurant license transfer and stalls gym bar application over automated pour system. The two-member board, Chair Rick Smith and Member Eric S. Kelley, voted 2-0 Monday to transfer the all-alcohol restaurant license at 1 Proprietors Drive from Mia Ragazza Limited to buyer Patrick Quillo's new corporation, Mia Ragazza Marshfield, Inc., at a combined asset purchase price of $2.2 million covering the Marshfield and Abington locations, with Ann Perry named as manager subject to state ABCC approval.

A separate application from Train for Life at 8 Progress Way for a wine and malt beverage license to serve alcohol via an automated iPour facial-recognition dispenser in a second-floor golf simulator lounge was continued to August 3 after Kelley called the undisclosed technology "a big concern" and Smith said he would not support approval "unless there's a human" supervising the area. The board also approved $485,787.38 in end-of-year Municipal Modernization Act appropriation transfers for FY2026 and cleared common victualer licenses for roughly 20 Levitate Music Festival vendors and three Marshfield Fair vendors.
