Planning Board adopts stormwater rules, advances permit
Planning Board · Meeting of September 14, 2026
Marshfield Planning Board adopts stormwater rules, advances Webster Street permit. Vice Chair Katharine O'Donnell presided in Chair Michael Biviano Jr.'s absence as the board voted 4-0 to adopt Stormwater Management Regulations under Chapter 418 and 4-0 to approve an ANR lot merger for Eversource at 226 Enterprise Drive. Members voted 5-0 to nominate Associate Member Caleb Johnson to the Economic Development Advisory Committee and 5-0 to close a special-permit hearing for 745 Webster Street while keeping the record open to September 28.
Member Kevin Cantwell warned the board about Senate Bill 3178, a duplex-by-right proposal folded into the state Senate's economic-development package: "It's just getting hotter and hotter because these bills don't take into consideration the strain on the economy, the towns, or the public services." The board also scheduled an October 5 hearing on a citizens' petition to repeal the Brant Rock Overlay District ahead of October's special town meeting.
