Planning Board · Meeting of July 20, 2026
Marshfield Planning Board approves Enterprise Park drainage changes and allows Brant Rock pavilion permit to withdraw. The three-member quorum, Vice Chairman Katharine O'Donnell presiding in the absence of Chairman Michael Biviano Jr., with Clerk Fred Monaco and Member Nik Pappastratis, voted 3-0 Monday on all four actions at the July 20 Zoom meeting. Engineer Kevin Grady of Grady Consulting won approval for a minor modification to the Enterprise Park Subdivision plan to straighten an irregularly shaped drainage lot and then secured a 3-0 endorsement of an approval-not-required plan for 175 Commerce Way, with Conservation Agent Pat Brennan having confirmed in a comment letter that the redesigned sediment forebay still meets its original design volume.
The board also voted to let the Brant Rock Pavilion BRVO special permit applicant withdraw without prejudice after the applicant pulled a related ZBA variance request; Monaco noted they "saw where their votes were headed." Town Planner Karen Horn closed by briefing members on a pending state Economic Development Bill that would allow duplexes by right on any single-family lot statewide and permit religious organizations to build up to 30 units per acre, drawing concern from O'Donnell about "removing local control," while Horn previewed a potential 24-unit redevelopment inquiry at the Brant Rock Head's property and a stormwater bylaw public hearing set for August 3.
