Marshfield Planning Board Continues Webster Street Hearing, Clears Two Land Plans

MARSHFIELD — June 22, 2026 — Marshfield Planning Board continues 745 Webster Street mixed-use hearing and clears two routine land plans. The five-member board, chaired by Mike Viviano, voted unanimously June 22 to push the B-1 special permit hearing for a mixed-use project at 745 Webster Street to July 20, after attorney Rick Savant told the board that peer-review plans had been delivered to staff only that day and the applicant was not ready to proceed. The board also unanimously endorsed two Approval Not Required plans — one carving a rear lot at 795 Plain Street for conveyance to an abutting Stellwagen property, and one realigning the lot line between two existing houses at 980–994 Careswell Street — and deferred a third A&R plan for Paul Armstrong at Commerce Way to July 6 pending engineering documentation that no active drainage exists on a 9,000-square-foot parcel he seeks to acquire. The board set August 3 for a public hearing on new DPW-drafted stormwater regulations that will require Planning Board permits for any land-clearing of one acre or more.
