Other Committee · Meeting of October 20, 2026

MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Housing Authority approved $300,247.81 in backlogged accounts payable and a $45,043 design contract for masonry repair work. Commissioners spent much of the meeting questioning Quincy Housing Authority invoices line by line, including a $13,923.90 engineering charge and recurring tree-removal and turnover costs; one commissioner asked, "is there a more efficient way to accomplish the review of the payables." The board voted 5-0 to update Rockland Trust signature cards after Executive Director James said he will take six to eight weeks of medical leave starting in January. Commissioners tabled a request to let a concert series, car show and fair use Housing Authority parking, with one member asking "why should our residents have to park in the back?" The board also voted 5-0 to extend its Automatic Laundry lease through October 2028 and reminded members not to directly question employees after a formal complaint was referred to the executive director.
