Marshfield conservation board acts on two violations

Conservation · Meeting of September 2, 2026

Marshfield conservation board orders fixes for two wetlands violations. Conservation Agent Mike told commissioners he issued a stop-work order after finding a landscape crew working without permits at 15 Parker Street, a barrier beach lot near the beach, and separately cited a property owner, Chudzik, for unpermitted cutting of ash trees on town-owned land at 772 Careswell Street. "I observed a landscape crew doing a fair amount of work without any permits," Mike said.

Commissioners voted unanimously to require an after-the-fact notice of intent for Parker Street and to direct staff to find an off-site mitigation area for Chudzik to replant. The board also closed hearings and issued orders of conditions for raise-and-rebuild projects at 203 Standish Street and 164 Bay Avenue, and continued a third, at 9 Brighton Street, to September 16 for revised plans.
