She was born in Westerly, Rhode Island, worked as a registered nurse for 41 years before retiring in 2020, and created the Dorothy Wilson RN Scholarship Program to help fund higher-education costs for Marshfield high school students pursuing nursing. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 10 a.m. at St. Ann by the Sea Parish Church, 587 Ocean Street, Marshfield.
